Talk to the person who runs the laptop.
There is no support queue, phone line or chat widget. Mayfly is operated by one person who reads messages between everything else. Choose the route that fits what you need and include enough context for a useful reply.
Request access
For a new account, use the public access request form. Tell the operator what you want to host, roughly how much disk you need and the best contact handle for the reply. If there is room on the host, you will receive a one-time invite link.
Open the request formAccount or box help
If you already have an account, sign in and use the feedback section of the dashboard. It keeps your message attached to the right account and lets the operator leave a note you can read later. Include the box name and a short description of what happened.
Sign inPrivacy requests
To ask about, correct or delete account data, use the access request form with the subject line “privacy” and the username or contact address you used. If you can still sign in, you can also use the account feedback section. Account deletion also removes that account's boxes.
Contact the operatorAbuse or security reports
For a public Mayfly URL that is distributing malware, phishing, illegal material or other abuse, use the request form with the subject line “abuse” or “security”. Include the exact URL and what you observed. Do not probe or attack the host yourself. If you have an account, feedback also works.
Report a problemWhat to include
- Your username, if you have one, and the contact handle you used before.
- The full public URL for technical or abuse reports, including the slug or tunnel address.
- The box name and approximate time if the issue relates to a specific box.
- What you expected and what happened instead. A screenshot or a short log excerpt is useful if it does not contain secrets.
- Whether the issue is urgent. The operator reads messages manually, so a clear subject helps triage.
Never send passwords, API keys, private keys or other secrets. The operator will never ask you for your password.
What to expect
Messages are read by a person. There is no guaranteed response time, especially when the host is offline or the queue is busy. Access requests are reviewed only while the host has space and the operator is accepting applications. If requests are closed, the request form will say so.
Mayfly does not use your contact details for marketing. The contact information you provide is used to handle your request and, if approved, to send the invite link yourself or through the channel the operator chooses. Read the privacy policy for the details.
No need to email first. The public request form is the front door for access, privacy and abuse messages. It reaches the operator without creating an account.
